The following videos are a representation of my writing, directing, and content creation skills. As a writer/director I oversee every aspect of the video production process from the ideation phase to the final edit.
SKILSAW was entering a new tool category with table saws, and needed a product video that embodied both their heritage as well and innovation. This video aimed to achieve that goal and challenge the user with the line "What will you bring to the table?"
Paralllon tables are an interesting addition for a company called SitOnIt Seating. I sourced a location in Downtown LA with a view of the city and unique architectural features to make the tables appear classy. The heavy text overlays lightened the tone of the video to keep it consistent with SitOnIt Seatings brand voice.
Fabrics aren’t inherently interesting, so I gave Sili-Tex a more playful tone. Most furniture manufacturer’s advertising is so serious and the goal was to differentiate SitOnIt Seatings latest addition to their fabric lineup.
SKILSAW is again entering a new tool category with the reciprocating saw. BUZZKILL Technology (I had the opportunity to name and brand this technology) reduces vibration drastically and we needed a visual way to represent the vibration reduction.
EGO Power Plus is battery operated outdoor power equipment, and has been dismissed by many for lacking the power of gas. This video was written as a rebuttal to that belief using a Phantom Camera to capture extreme slow motion moments to enforce the visual of power.
EGO Power Plus designed it's first snowblower and needed a commercial to communicate the features and benefits. This shoot was particularly challenging as very specific weather conditions were necessary. We needed a minimum of 6" of fresh snow to communicate power, and low wind so that the spray from the snowblower was direct. Fortunately, an early March snow fall provided these conditions in an extremely mild winter.
EGO Power Plus needed a series of videos that could be visually interesting without sound, and used on Instagram. I proposed shooting the product against a black backdrop to isolate the action and allow for motion graphics. It offered an interesting environment, and the opportunity to shoot out of season.
I was challenged by Red Wing Heritage to make boot care easy. Red Wing has many different types of leather, and specific care products and processes that accompany each type. This series of videos walks boot owners through the basics in a short one minute format.
Red Wing Shoes has introduced a variety of new leather care products. This video explains the product, shows ease of use, and is consistent with established Red Wing Shoes brand standards.
OXX needed a video to explain the features and benefits of their Coffeeboxx product. They are a small brand and needed the most cost effective video possible. I wrote, directed, gaffed, and acted in this video. With the help of a cinematographer, we shot this in less than a day with minimal resources.
